Primarily papers of Antonio F. Coronel but including also some papers of his father, Ignacio Coronel.
Includes letters; speeches; pamphlets and broadsides; proclamations, ordinances and decrees; Mexican and American calendars
and almanacs; Ms. of a pastorela; and miscellaneous printed material.
They relate mainly to the elective and appointive positions held by Antonio Coronel; his interests in local and state politics
and his work with the Democratic Party; his concern for the Indians of California; family business matters; and the prominent
part the family played in Los Angeles affairs. A few papers relate to the Mexican War.
