As this office evolved into the Solar Cal Council, an overlapping of some files is present. The files reflect the multi-faceted functions of this office. They include subject related correspondence, Passive solar energy, Solar financing, the Local Government Commission, and Solar manufacturers.

Scope and Content Note

Arranged alphabetically by subject.
The files include applications for power plants for particular sites, environmental impact reports, and public opinion correspondence dealing with particular sites. These sites include Belridge, Geysers 20, Lucerne Valley, Mono County, and Tosco. The Geysers 20 files also include 48 color slides of the site as well as slides depicting graphs and charts regard the feasibility of using the site for a power plant. These slides are filed seperately.
