John Paul Jones (1747-1792) was a Captain in the American Navy and Admiral in Russian Black Sea Fleet, 1788-1789.
Documents collected by Frank Golder relating to John Paul Jones' career as Admiral in Russian Black Sea Fleet during the war
against the Ottoman Empire. Includes copies (photostats and typed transcripts) of correspondence from Jones to Prince Grigori
A. Potemkin, handwritten in French. Also notes, diary, and correspondence excerpts (copies, by hand/typed or photo) assembled
by Golder. Includes correspondence between Golder and Russian repositories about materials on Jones and Jones' career in the
Russian navy.
