Biographical/Historical Sketch
Pi Lambda Theta is a national honorary and professional organization for students in education. The Stanford Chapter was dissolved
in 1975.
Records consist of the final petition submitted by the Stanford Women's Education Club for membership in Pi Lambda Theta,
1925; transcripts of panel discussions on student government and faculty-student relationships, 1935; and a press release
concerning the dissolution of the chapter. Faculty participants in the panels included Arthur B. Clark, Edwin A. Cottrell,
