Contains minutes, reports, financial information, newsletters, clippings, brochures,
flyers, membership lists, memoranda and correspondence, and other material of the ACLU
of Orange County from approximately 1987-1993. The material was gathered by Nancy
Phelps, office manager of the ACLU of Orange County between 1976 and 1990, and provides
a limited overview of the organization's activities. Of special interest are 1) a
proposal for a staff lawyer in 1987, which includes a brief history of the organization,
and 2) correspondence and reports describing the demise of the organization.
