Scope and Content of Collection
The UCSB Press Council oversees the student newspaper, the
Daily Nexus, and the campus radio station, KCSB. Before the
Daily Nexus, a title that was assumed in 1970, the newspaper was known as
El Gaucho. The Press Council is responsible for, among other duties, approving an editor-in-chief each year that the
Nexus staff votes on.
The collection contains mostly financial files, as well as some brochures on advertising, publication guidelines, type samples,
etc. Files are arranged chronologically.
