Abstract: This collection consists chiefly of
materials accumulated during Grace Esser's career as a concert and theatrical manager. There
are photographs, programs, posters, correspondence and unsorted ephemera. Topics include the
Musical Courier in New York, the Ballet Russe as well as the Chicago Opera in the 1930's,
Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Study, Dallas
Symphony, and the Orange County Philharmonic in the 1950's.
