This collection consists of two letters written by American lawyer, judge, and founding member of the University of Southern
California Robert Maclay Widney to Rev. John Dickenson in 1886. The first letter is informing Dickenson of his professorship
of Mineralogy and Geology and his position as curator of the museum. In the second letter Widney urges Dickenson to be present
on campus for the beginning of the 1886 fall semester.
