Scope and Content of Series

Series 1) CORRESPONDENCE AND WORKS BY OTHERS: Arranged alphabetically by correspondent, includes letters from family, friends, former classmates, and prominent members of the New York literary and artistic community. Highlights include correspondence with John Ash, John Ashbery, Joe Brainard, Robert Dash, Kenward Elmslie, James McCourt, James Schuyler, and Trevor Winkfield, among others. Some handwritten draft replies by Park are included within the files. This series also contains both handwritten and typescript draft poetry and writings sent to Park, including written works by John Ash, John Ashbery, Kenward Elmslie, Barbara Guest, Geritt Henry, John Koethe, James McCourt, Ron Padgett, James Schuyler, and others, as well as a small selection of Park family correspondence including letters, poems and works by Darragh Park's brother, James Park who also composed a musical score in tribute to James Schuyler.
