Biography / Administrative History

Grace Loa (Ingham) Garrettson graduated from Pomona College in 1924 with a major in science. During her time as a student, Ingham served as Science Club manager and was a member of the Program Committee and the French Circle. Her son, George W. Garrettson, Jr. ('52) and daughter-in-law, Dona Lee (Blakely) Garrettson ('53) also graduated from Pomona College with majors in physics and sociology, respectively.

Scope and Contents of the Collection

The Garrettson Family Collection of Pomoniana includes an assortment of jewelry, textiles, and clothing items belonging to Grace Loa Ingham, George W. Garrettson, Jr., and Dona Lee Blakely from 1924 to 1958. Included in this collection are class sweaters, banners, scarves, a freshman dink, and Pomona College and Greek-letter organization pins.
