Series 1 Biographical

Scope and Contents

This series includes Suzanne's Astrological Chart; correspondence between Suzanne, her family and Laura Bock; photos of her parents Harold and Adelaide Cumberworth, ancestors, friends, lovers and partner and her ancestral home in Grosse Point, Michigan. There are additional photos of friends, lovers, partners, and beloved dogs throughout her life. Of particular interest: Our Bodies, Our Selves from 1971, writings from "The Insomniacs", her lesbian "gang" of friends, the license plate from her VW Bug, "Toughie", with two photos. Also featured is a 41 page draft of a paper entitled "Notes on Lesbian Political Theory" written by Suzanne and three other comrades. Sample chapters include: "A Lesbian Political Perspective", "Defining the Enemy", "How We Threaten Patriarchy", "On Monogamy and Sexuality", and "Back to the Roots". The series includes a poster of her poems and photos prepared for her memorial in July 2019.
