Abstract: In 2002, The 1939 Society celebrated its 50th anniversary. For five decades, The '1939' Society has been dedicated to the
remembrance of the Holocaust and to Holocasut Education. This item is a program with the itinerary, benefactors, and patrons
of the commenmorative event.

The 1939 Society, established as "The '1939' Club" when fourteen Holocaust survivors of Polish origin, meet in Los Angeles.
Together, they formed a new organization dedicated to caring for fellow survivors and their families. The 1939 Society is
a community dedicated to Holocaust remembrance, witness, and education.
In 1999, The 1939 Society becomes a co-sponsor, along with Chapman University, of the Holocaust Art and Writing Contest. Later
in 2001, Chapman University inaugurates The "1939" Club's Leopold Page Memorial Righteous Rescuers Lecture Series, sponsored
by Steven Spielberg's Righteous Persons Foundation.
