Scope and Content

The bulk of the John Maximus early maps collection consists of 349 early 16th through 18th century maps by European cartographers such as Willem (1571-1638) and Joan (1596-1673) Blaeu, Jan Jansson (1588-1664), and Gerardus Mercator (1512-1594). The collection also includes original advertising prints, awards, and artwork by John Maximus.
