Scope and Content

Ten pocket diaries written by Mary Estella Perrigo Conger (1858-1918). The diaries begin in 1891 and run through 1909.
The diaries provide a window into Perrigo Conger's daily life around the turn of the 19th century in upstate New York, such as keeping house and caring for her two sons, George and Walter Conger, and her husband, Willis N. Conger--but also her activities outside of the house, including her involvment in temperance and suffrage movement meetings.
