Correspondence from Bernard Herrmann dates to the 1960s-1970s and is addressed to Maurice Schmitgen, Maurice and Virginia
Heebner, as well as Barbara Heebner.
The collection is open for research.

Letters, postcards, notes to and from Bernard Herrmann to Heebner family and Maude Schmitgen circa 1960s-1970s
Note on folder containing these materials states: "Maude Schmitgen (Grandmother of donors Barbara Heebner and Linda Fletcher)
and Maurice and Virginia Heebner cared for B.H.'s pets during his frequent absences (for London season conducting and movie
locations for filming) during [the] 1960s and 1970s.
They were also empowered to collect and open his mail and to forward important mail to B.H. B.H. also hosted Virginia Heebner
and Barbara Heebner at his home in London."
