The Roger Olmsted photographs, 1970-1981, (SAFR 24817, P16-011) are comprised of portrait photographs of Roger Olmsted and photographs of a ceremony attended by San Francisco Mayor Joseph Alioto at Victorian Park, San Francisco, California. The collection has been processed to the Collection level and is open for use.
Consists of the following items:
Item 1. Ambassador from Spain Jaime Alba Delibes, San Francisco Mayor Joseph Alioto, and Mike Garcia of the State Department of Transportation attending a celebration in Victorian Park, San Francisco, California, 1975. In the foreground is the plaque for California Historical Landmark no. 236 which commemorates the arrival of the first ship into San Francisco Bay, the Spanish packet SAN CARLOS, on August 5, 1775. Five women in Spanish period costumes are also in view. 1 black-and-white photographic print, 5 x 7 in.
Item 2. San Francisco Mayor Joseph Alioto presenting the key to San Francisco, California, to Jaime Alba Delibes, the Ambassador from Spain, 1975. Karl Kortum of the San Francisco Maritime State Historic Park is seated on the right. 1 black-and-white photographic print, 5 x 7 in.
Items 3-8: Portraits of Roger Olmsted, former curator at the San Francisco Maritime Museum, in various outdoor settings, circa 1970-1981. 5 color photographic prints, 5 x 5 in., and 1 color photographic print, 3.5 x 5 in.
