Abstract: The collection consists of reports, clippings, brochures, and correspondence related to elder abuse, especially in minority
populations. Many of the reports are the products of foundations on aging including the National Asian Pacific Center on
Aging, the California Foundation on Aging, and the California Commission on Aging. This collection appears to have been, at
least in part, the provenance of Betty Kozasa, a well-known leader and founder of many organizations all related to the welfare
of children, minorities, and the elderly. She spent almost 50 years of her life in this passion. She worked for and assisted
the City of Los Angeles, the State of California, the US Government, and lastly, the United Nations.
