Custodial History

The Socialist and Communist Youth Organizations Collection was donated to the Holt Labor Library in San Francisco, California between 1992 and 2019, and was acquired by the Gerth Archives and Special Collections at California State University, Dominguez Hills, in 2019.

The Young People's Socialist League (YPSL), 1907-1972, was the youth organization of the Socialist Party of America; International Communist Youth (ICY), 1919-1943, was the youth organization of the Communist International (Comintern); American Student Union (ASU), 1935-1941, was an anti-war student organization comprising socialist and communist members.
