Biography/Administrative History

Edmund (Ed) Salter (1903-1984) was a prominent member of Orange County. He was a member of the Salter Family, one of the pioneer familes of Orange County. The Salter family's involvement in the citrus industry reaches back to 1870. Ed Salter was manager of the Santiago Orange Growers Association, and an avid volunteer in many organizations related to Orange County history. Salter is also the original donor for the Citrus Collection here at California State University, Fullerton's University Archives and Special Collections.
