This collection contains three photocopied V-Mail letters from Pvt. Richard C. Kinder, USA to his mother Abigail Kinder during
the Second World War.
The first two letters were written before Kinder shipped out to Germany, and detail his excitement to serve in the army. The
third letter was written from Germany only a few weeks before his death, and his hostility towards the German people is notable.
This collection also contains biographical information provided by the donor, which is attached to transcriptions of the letters.
