This collection consists of the papers of American actor Robert Stack (1919-2003). It includes scripts, awards, and books. Stack starred in such films as "The Mortal Storm" (1940), "To Be or Not To Be" (1942), "A Date with Judy" (1948), "House of Bamboo" (1955), "Written on the Wind" (1956), and "The Transformers: The Movie" (1986). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Series for his role in the ABC television series "The Untouchables."

Biographical / Historical

Robert Stack (1919-2003) was an American actor. Stack played polo for the University of Southern California. His television and film credits include "The Mortal Storm" (1940), "To Be or Not To Be" (1942), "A Date with Judy" (1948), "House of Bamboo" (1955), "Written on the Wind" (1956), "The Untouchables," "The Transformers: The Movie" (1986), "The Name of the Game," and "Hercules." In 1960 he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Series for his role in the ABC television series "The Untouchables."
