Scope and Contents

This collection includes copies of NeXT software, printed user guides, advertising brochures, programming and software manuals for NeXT products like NeXTSTEP and OpenStep, and other related publications.

Biographical / Historical

NeXT was a technology company that specialized in computer workstations. It was founded by Apple Computer co-founder Steve Jobs in 1985 after he parted ways from Apple. The company was bought by Apple in 1997.

Open for research. Note that material must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use. Born-digital material are closed because they are not available in original format, and must be reformatted to a digital use copy.
