Abstract: The records of Jobs with Justice (JWJ) contain materials that document the organization's mission, campaigns, projects, and activities. The materials in this collection reflect those issues that were central to the group, including living wages plus accessible healthcare, quality public education, affordable housing and a liveable climate. JWJ represents hotel, restaurant, retail and service workers, domestic workers, nurses, teachers, city workers, seniors, people with disabilities, tenants and students. A few documents in the collection are in Spanish and Chinese. They focus on policy and system change to empower workers and communities of color.

History of Jobs with Justice San Francisco

Jobs with Justice San Francisco (JWJ), is a membership-based organization of San Francisco residents and workers. JWJ's campaigns focus on policy and system change to empower workers and communities of color, including workers' rights, secure jobs with living wages, accessible healthcare, quality public education, affordable housing, and a liveable climate. JWJ represents hotel, restaurant, retail and service workers, domestic workers, nurses, teachers, city workers, seniors, people with disabilities, tenants and students.
