The Writing series contains articles, newspaper clippings, personal writings, and scholarly articles, dated from 1980 to 2005. Of particular interest is the narrative of Vogelweid's visit to Lithuania in 1997.

Correspondence

Scope and Contents

The Correspondence series contains handwritten and typed letters to Vogelweid. The majority of the letters are from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Boston University. In addition, there is one folder of Vogelweid's handwritten letters. One dated February 9, 1997, she writes about her and her family fleeing Lithuania to Japan.

Scope and Contents

The Photograph series contains photocopies of personal photographs of Vogelweid, including her visit to Chiune Sugihara Memorial, images of her material on display in exhibitions, and pictures of her and her family in Lithuania and Japan. The series holds a photograph of the rescuers Chiune and Yulilo Sugihara in the Lithuania consulate. Of particular interest is a photograph of the Polish Jewish refugees on a line outside the consulate seeking visas to flee from Lithuania, dated 1940.

The Exhibit and Event series contains flyers and programs regarding the rescuer Chiune Sugihara Memorial. Vogelweid had her material on display at two exhibitions held at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, including, Hidden History of the Kovno Ghetto and Flight and Rescue.

Scope and Contents

The Miscellaneous series contains one item, a fan-shaped piece of paper written with Lithuanian Red Cross Pharmacy. On the back is a possible prescription for muscle pain. This item might have been used by Vogelwied to collect her medication.
