Biographical / Historical

Joan London (1901-1971) was the librarian for the California Labor Federation from the 1940s until her retirement in 1962. Afterwards, continued to be active in workers' movements and was a member of the Citizens for Farm Labor. She collaborated with Henry Pope Anderson and wrote So Shall Ye Reap: The Story of Cesar Chavez and the Farm Workers' Movement.
She was the elder child of author Jack London and was active in workers and leftist movements for much of her life.
