R. W. GILDER. EDITOR. R. U.JOHNSON, ASSOCIATE EDITOR. C. C. BUEL, ASSISTANT EDITOR. October 19, 1905 John Muir, Esq,
Adamana, Ariz. My dear Muir: Mr. Colby has kindly sent me Wanda's note of October 8, with its reassurance concerning your
health. Coming after your note and confirming It this makes me happy. I have asked the President to recommend in his message
the acceptance of the Yosemite, and he has promised me to do so. I suppose this ought to be kept private for the present but
I have told Mr.Colby so that the club may act intelligently. Please give my love to your two girls. Faithfully yours,
