Los Angeles, Cal., May 31, 1910. 325 West Adams Street. Dear Cousin:- I was very glad to receive your letter of May
5th, acknowledging receipt of the large photograph sent you by my friend, Mr. John D. Hooker, of 325 West Adams Street, Los
Angeles, Cal. Am sorry to hear your mother is so feeble but hope with you that the warm spring weather will bring more strength.
That you are keeping so well must be a great comfort to her. We are all about as well as usual, excepting my sister Margaret,
who had a severe attack of the Grip last winter and, as she was getting a little stronger, suffered a setback from a fall
from her bed to the floor, causing a shock from which she has not yet recovered and is still so feeble that she is causing
much anxiety to us all. Helen I suppose you know was married about a year ago to a nice young man, Mr. Buel A. Funk, at Daggett,
Cal. Wanda is very well and so are her two fine boys, the youngest now more than a year old. Helen's address now is Mrs.
Buel A. Funk, Daggett, Cal., and Wanda's is Mrs. Thomas R. Hanna, Martinez, Cal. I saw Helen for a few minutes about a month
ago. She has completely recovered her health. Am glad to hear that the Hayes are well. Remember me to them and to Mr. Murdock,
Susan Gilroy and all the old friends. I am busy writing more books. Another will soon be published with perhaps others to
follow within a year. With love to you both I am, Ever affectionately your cousin, illegible 04772
