in pursuit of Scientific investigations. I have taken the liberty of referring him to you, as the one most able to tell him
how to get around, and whom to see. I trust you are not wholly unacquainted with Mr. M. His contributions to science have
already made him well known, and you have doubtless read his snow Banners, ascent of Mt Shasta with the delight that I have
