illegible THE CRAFTSMAN SYRACUSE NEW YORK Mr. John Muir, Martinez, Cal. My dear Mr. Muir- Per this same mail I have
pleasure in sending you a copy of the October number of THE CRAFTSMAN. As you will observe the first article is a sketch
of the life and work of Bishop Huntington. That for November will be upon Pastor Charles Wagner, the authour of The Simple
Life . It is our intention each month to take up, in this interesting and sketchy manner, the life and work of some man whom
we feel exemplifies to some extent the simple life. Your name has a high place on our list. We are now preparing such an article
and should be exceedingly glad if you could offer us any assistance in the matter in the way of personal data, etc. We should
also like to have a good photograph of yourself for reproduction. May we not hope that you will kindly give this matter your
personal and early attention and thus oblige, Yours very sincerely, The Craftsman per George Wharton James 10 illegible
