Martinez, June 22, 1910 My darling Helen, Dearest sister Margaret died this afternoon- free at last in the Better Land
from care pain all bodily frailty. I'm very glad I was able to be with her to cheer soothe comfort while yet she could recognize
me. The last two or three days was unconscious in a sort of sleep next to death. David Sarah arrived four hours too late
to see her in life. We all rejoice she passed away in deep sleep without pain or struggle - but these last farewells are
hard to bear. Glad Darling that you're feeling better as your Tracey letter shows. Be more careful of health than ever.
Your loving father
