At the suggestion of Olson, Hedrick prepared and encloses copies of a first draft of letters addressed to President Franklin Roosevelt and to J. W. Studebaker, Commissioner of Education at the Office of Education. In the draft, Hedrick mentions the concern of Western College Association over the plight of Japanese American college students, urging the government to promptly act upon this problem. In his letter to Olson, Hedrick writes, "I submit them [draft letters] to you herewith for your consideration, revision, and possible action. I shall be very glad if you find it possible to act in this matter."Publisher:
