letterhead ESTES PARK, COLO. Jan. 29 1903 Mr. John Muir, Martinez, California, Dear Sir:- I thank you for the photograph.
it will be a treasure to me through the years. Another Forest Reserve seems probable for this state. The petition asking
for it requests that it be from 12 to 24 miles wide and about 120 miles long on the summit of chiefly the Continental Divide
in Northern Colorado. My Review of Our National Parks is to be in April Outdoor Life: but possibly in March number. Will
send you a copy that contains my review. Thanking you for encouraging me, and inspiring others with Evergreen thoughts,
