In regard to the Caminetti bill Directors will at once negotiate with a reliable man, whom one of us knows very well, concerning
the collection of evidence from the settlers within the reservation. As to the policy of the government in the matter of the
reservations, this will be looked after by a Committee on Forestry composed of five of the influential members of the club.
And finally concerning recession, the Directors will take a first step by informing themselves of the legal possibility for
Congressional action. At the end of next month we hope to have a general meeting of the club for the purpose of discussing
the policy of the club in the matter of trails, forestry, etc etc - We shall collect reliable information concerning trails
for the use of those going into the mountains;- and hope during the fall winter to accomplish much that will strengthen our
position as a club. Yours truly Elliott McAllister-
