Martinez, Oct. 31/07 Dear Mr Keeler: I heartily thank you for your capital Hetch Hetchy letter to the President, so would
every lover of pure wildness who could see it. It is just what is wanted to assure the President that all decent Californians
nature-lovers everywhere who have seen our glorious Yosemite Park or have knowledge of it wish to have it preserved forever.
Try to get others to write. A lot of personal letters showing awakening public opinion will gain us the victory over all the
money changers water changers. I hope you can get Pres. Wheelers help. With love to your darlings I am ever Faithfully
yours John Muir in margin: Poor Helen is in bed with a severe cold, but is fast getting better.
