Martinez. June 15, 1910. Dear Mrs. Hooker and Marian : It's fine to hear from you once more, with hope of soon seeing
you. Hope you'll like your new nests. My sister Margaret seems a little better at times, but the doctor gives no hope of
ultimate recovery. The little Sierra journal is not to be published until spring, as you will see by enclosed letters. Well,
after waiting 40 years, a few months will not matter. Faithfully, affectionately, ever yours, JOHN MUIR Envelope addressed
Mrs. J. D. Hooker, 3563 Jackson St., San Francisco . Envelope contained letters addressed to Muir from Ellery Sedgwick,
editor of The Atlantic Monthly, of date June 7, 1910;and from Ferris Greenslet, for Houghton Mifflin Co of date June 9, 1910.
