Transcription:
Department of the Interior, Washington, February 27th, 1891. Mr. R. U. Johnson, Associate to Editor, Century Magazine,
New York City: Dear Sir: Yours of the 25th instant has been received, in regard to the report made upon the Yosemite Valley.
This was sent forward some weeks ago to the Senate, where it has lain since unnoticed. I will have Senator Plumb's attention
called to it, and the business may be considered before the adjournment. Possibly you could do something yourself towards
drawing attention to it. Yours truly, John W. Noble, Secretary.
