Kansas City, Mo., Dec. 8, 1886. John Muir, Esq., Martinez. Cal. Dear Brother: I sent you a deed of trust on the house
about 30 days since, and have heard nothing from it since. I have been carrying the 2000 at the bank and would be pleased
to have the deed of trust as quickly as possible. I had it made to me. so that by my signing the notes and transferring from
me, that I could get a less rate of interest. Your immediate attention to this will oblige me. Truly, Walter Brown.
I have only money enough on hand to pay for the Quit Claim and interest account, as I have not sold only a part of the notes,
and have not yet got the Quit Claim, I expect to soon, however, J oanna is going to hear Emma Abott this evening, her first
attempt at opera.
