Rose Cottage, Woodbush, Dunbar 5th Jan, 1914. Mr Muir, Dear Sir, My Friend the late John Manuel who was killed
at Natick, Mass. used to correspond with me regularly and in one of his last letters he asked me confidentially if I could
send him a few views of Dunbar to give to you for some book you were writing But before I got the photos ready Mr Manuel was
killed, and I would have sent them on to you early but I did'nt know your address at the time. I trust you will accept the
few photos which I send under separate cover they are my own work and you are at liberty to use them as you think fit. Should
you require any view of Dunbar which you have not got for any publication you may bring? out I will be pleased to do it for
you Trusting you will excuse me for the liberty I take in writing you I am yours truly Thomas T. Bisset. 05668
