Home June 1, 1908 - Darling Helen, I suppose Wanda will be leaving you soon you will be lonesome for a while. Tom says
she is expected back before the 20th - Strentzels birthday. I've had a quite a l i? vely lot of visitors lately, Besides
neighbors I have had an old friend from South Dakota, Peter Trout again, a visitor from Berkeley, another from Oklahoma, yesterday
Mr Mrs Colby their fine 3 year old Yosemite Bill. Millie comes regularly now for milk, her uncounted kittens are in the stable
at the foot of the hill. Th garden is still in glorious gorgeous bloom the whole hill orchard is smoother freer from weeds
clods more luxuriant fruitful than ever before. The rubber tree on your desk shares in the general beauty welfare The Colbys
asked to be particularly remembered to you send all good wishes. Maggie is better than ever grows younger while the common
folk grow gray old. Let me know in margin: when you want anything sent from here or San Francisco Ever affectionately John
