Dear Mr Johnson: Martinez, Dec. 7 1908. I have good hope of winning our park fight in Congress notwithstanding the desperate
struggle the schemers are making. The bond vote is no measure of the wishes of the citizens as to Hetch Hetchy water, or even
a Sierra water supply.Anyhow we must fight the thieves robbers now always. Things refuse to be mismanaged long, all the enlightened
public opinion of the world is with us-- Faithfully yours John Muir Martinez, Dec. 1, 1908.
