Title from the reverse of the item. The photograph depicts the first pumping
station at the Fitchburg Well Field in what is now East Oakland, brought on-line in 1893 by
the Alameda Water Company, later acquired by the Contra Costa Water Company of Anthony Chabot.
The field now serves as the site of the Oakland-Alameda County (McAfee) Coliseum.
