Miss. May 14th 1912 Mr. John Muir, Martinez, California. Dear Mr. Muir: Replying to your favor of May 1st, which I
was very pleased to receive would say that I am having prints made from the negatives secured in South America and prints
from which will he forwarded to you from New York within a few days. I would very much like to have a description of your
trip to Chili, and would like to know if you found any trees in that country that resembled the Auricauria of Brazil, also
I would like to know the result of your investigations in regard to the trees of Africa. Yours very truly, illegible
