Hankow Dec 17th 1906. My Dear Friend:- I received your letter saying you had received the tea O.k. and am gratified beyond
measure to think you liked it; for, as a rule people at home do not like the pure black or Chinese tea, but rather prefer
a mixture. Since receiving your letter I have been lucky in getting a one cat illegible tin of kai- illegible tea, This is
the very best tea grown in China and as there is very little of it grown I was very lucky to get this: I hope although you
will receive it rather late that you will accept it as a X-mas gift. Furthermore dont think because I say it is the best that
it is sure to be so for I don't suppose I ever drank a dozen cups of tea in my life and although now I am right in the heart
of a tea country I never touch it myself unless compelled to from a social point of view. I have written to several people
to try and procure me some specimens but as yet have had no replies. I sincerely hope to be able to procure some at no very
distant date. There is one question I would like to ask you, on my shooting trips I have several times come accross 03788
