rest of the month with us, she is a good walker and as several Martinez girls have come out to climb the hills with us we
have had some fine long walks. Last Saturday eleven of us went over to the big Laurel, the views were grand, we could see
3 the Sierras very clearly and the flowers and ferns are just starting up now. On another walk we found a little canyon
back of Ferndale where there were thirty or forty quite large maple trees with red and yellow leaves, how beautiful whole
forests must look in such gorgeous dress. I received a letter from Margaret Muir a few days ago, she was very anxious to
have you visit them in St Paul and said that if you would come there, they would send Helen Muir to the train to meet you.
