Martinez, Dec. 26, 1900. My dear Merriam, I couldn't find enough of nuts on the ranch to send you though there used to
be plenty of them. Therefore I ordered some sent from the City; also a case sauterne. Don't pay freight, as it is paid at
this end of the route. Divide with the Baileys and then you can probably get rid even of the little prunes. If not then divide
