1760 Ellis St.,San Francisco,Cal. Dec.31st.,1908. Mr. John Muir,Martinez,Cal My dear Mr.Muir:- Enclosed herewith is
a little faded flower plucked From the bridal bouquet of Miss Emma Blanchard, now Mrs. Allen; which she asked me to send you
with her love and kind remembrances. Br I attended the wedding last night which took place in the Episcopal Church in San
Jose. There were a number of the Sierra Club members present, and all were charmed with the simplicity and sweetness of the
marriage ceremony.Miss Blanchard made a charming bride and Glenn Allen acted his part like a man.I am sure we of the Sierra
Club, wish them much happiness in their married life; this being one of the romances which has developed from the annual outing.
I hope you are enjoying the best of health, and looking forward to many trips during the coming year, which I hope will be a
very pleasant and happy one for you. Yours sincerely,
