Description:
MICHAEL MURRAY, c. 1855. Murray arrived at Mission San Jose in 1846 with his sister Eleanor and brother-in-law Jeremiah
Fallon. There Michael met his first wife, Amelia Nash. He purchased 1,000 acres of land from Jose Amador and built a home
for his family in what is now Dublin. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1859 and, from 1860-1861, served
as a county supervisor for Alameda County. It is about this time his first wife, Amelia, died. He married his second wife,
Catherine, not long after. Michael died in 1881 in San Francisco at the age of 74. (Courtesy Murray Family.) Page 15, Images
