August 5th, 1904. Dr. John Muir, Martinez, Cal. Dear Dr. Muir:- It gives me pleasure to tell you that our banquet was
well attended and thoroughly enjoyed. It was decided that the annual dinner be held on the second Tuesday of May hereafter.
The name has been changed to the Wisconsin Alumni Association of Northern California and by a vote were, elected Ex-chief
Justice W. P. Lyon of San Jose, President Wheeler of the University, Director Campbell of Lick Observatory, Dr. Turner of
Madison, and yourself to honorary membership. Hoping that you will be able to join us upon the occasion of our next meeting,
