Alexander Chico, May 24th 1900. Your letter my dear Mr Muir, gave us all pleasure, save the clause which told us you were
not quite well. We have hoped you would find it possible to come to Chico, tho' we did realize how sadly dear Generals absence
would be felt. Now I write to say that we expect to go to San Francisco on Monday, to be with Mrs Gibbs 2622, Jackson St -
