November 7, 1902. Dear Mr. Muir, Though I fear you may think me importunate, I cannot help inquiring again about the progress
of the other books. I can hardly suppose that the monetary success of your National Parks book was sufficient to urge you
to the completion of others, but the book itself was so much worth while that I hope it has stirred you to go on. At any rate
its substantial value has given a great deal of pleasure to many readers, who I fancy are looking forward, as I am, with a
very strong interest to your next book--whether it be on the Colorado Canon or Alaska, and I hope you will not mind my expressing
a personal desire to see the autobiographical book finished. That has for me a keener interest than any of the others. Yours
sincerely, illegible Mr. John Muir. 03091
